Teen Mom 2 was too much for Leah Calvert to handle.

Leah Calvert Quits 'Teen Mom 2'

With rumors circulating the web claiming Calvert and her husband, Jeremy Calbert, are heading for divorce, the young mother of three opted out of the show's sixth season. Hours after her shocking announcement, a source has revealed why she chose to leave.

“It’s all too much for her,” a friend of Leah's told Radar Online on Nov. 21.

Last month, on Twitter, Jeremy told fans his wife cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend, Robbie Kidd. While both Leah and Kidd denied the affair, Leah and Jeremy appear to be living separately. Since the accusations were made, no photos of the pair have surfaced and their social media use has been limited.

In addition to rumors of her alleged affair, Leah is also currently dealing with reports claiming she may have a serious addiction to prescription medication.

“We think Leah could be taking powerful painkillers including Lortab and Percocet,” an insider close to Leah told Radar Online. “They are very easy to get on the streets in her hometown.”

According to the source, Leah's pill use has taken a dark turn, and reportedly began affecting her ability to parent her three children, four-year-old twins Aleeah and Ali, and one-year-old Adalynn.

“Sometimes she drops her girls off with her mom at night and takes painkillers or drinks heavily," the source continued. "Dawn is all too eager to help out and tries to keep Leah’s secrets hidden.”

Following an episode of Teen Mom 2, in which Leah was seen looking out of it after taking a prescribed medication, Corey Simms filed for full custody of their twins. The former couple is due in court at the beginning of next month.

At this point, there has been no official word yet on whether or not MTV will renew Teen Mom 2 for a sixth season.
