Rumors have constantly flown that Donnie Wahlberg's family hasn't approved of his marrying Jenny McCarthy, but the comedienne and radio show host is now talking about how the stories simply aren't true.

Donnie Wahlberg Proves His Relationship With His Brother Is Still Fine

In an interview with vita.mn, the 42-year-old opened up about how she and Alma Wahlberg actually get along very well, and Alma actually adores her because she makes Donnie truly happy.

"She has been the most open and wonderful mother-in-law and accepts me," McCarthy said. "Like any mom, her big thing is, 'Does this person make my son happy?' and whenever we're together, she's glowing."

In fact, the relationship between the two is so wonderful, that they are indeed making plans to work on a cookbook together, something McCarthy initially pitched after hearing some of her mother-in-law's stories about raising nine children.

"We haven't even announced it or started working on it yet, but Alma, who I love dearly, always wants to share her stories and she loves to cook," McCarthy said. "Being that I've written ten books, I thought, 'Why don't we incorporate these emotional stories-you know, having nine kids-and create a cookbook?' My goal is by Mother's Day of next year."

And while McCarthy put the rumors of a less-than-perfect relationship with her mother-in-law to rest, she did also make a shocking confession about how much of a fan she used to be of her husband's band, New Kids on the Block.

"I was a radio fan," she admitted. "I wouldn't call myself a 'blockhead.' Now that I've gone to 27 concerts, I feel like I missed out on their beginning years. They have such great messages and put on a great show. It's not manufactured, it's authentic. I'm no doubt a number one fan now."
