The 24-year-old was introduced by her mentor T.I., who praised the rapper by saying that regardless of “size, color or nationality women can run hip-hop.”

Iggy was first joined by Charli XCX as they performed their hit song “Fancy,” which went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Surrounded by tons of female and male dancers, Iggy Azalea then performed her new song “Beg For It.”

Prior to the performance, Iggy tweeted her excitement for the award show and also promoted Reclassified, the reissue of her debut album.

“Excited for the AMAs tonight #reclassified #outmidnight,” the Australian native tweeted.
