Agents of SHIELD's Grant Ward seems to be moving further and further from any hope of redemption.

Despite the blood he shed on behalf of HYDRA, Ward (Brett Dalton) has become even darker since he escaped from SHIELD custody. Along with murdering his parents and older brother, Ward has used season 2 to take some turns that surprised even Dalton.

"He didn't need to go through all of that stuff," Dalton said of Ward's recent storyline, according to Zap2It. "They could have chosen any number of easier paths, but they didn't, and they've really kept him mysterious. You think, 'OK, I get this guy, he's really wrestling with his demons. I bet he's going to be a good guy next season' -- and then this stuff happens. It's not clear at all, in fact. They've kept him deliberately a wild card."
