While Carrie Underwood's Something in the Water has become a hit, there's still one new song left from her upcoming album that fans are still waiting to hear.

Carrie Underwood Won't Perform Again Until July 2015

According to Rolling Stone on Friday, the country music star won't be revealing Little Toy Guns until her highly anticipated album hits stores in December. Even so, the mother-to-be has opened up about what inspired her to write the song, which is filled to the brim with parenting don'ts.

"There's a little girl and she hears her parents fighting, as unfortunately a lot of kids do," explained Underwood. "So it's basically her saying, 'I wish their words weren't real. I wish they were like little toy guns and they didn't hurt you.'"

Carrie Underwood Lands One Last Gig For 2014

The message behind these lyrics is particularly poignant given the fact that Underwood and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, announced on Sept. 1 that they are expecting their first child together. The singer is expected to give birth to her baby boy sometime in the spring, though she's kept the specific due date under wraps for the time being.

With 25 tracks, Greatest Hits: Decade #1 will only feature the two new songs alongside a number of the singer's most popular tunes and "writing sessions work tapes" which take the listener behind-the-scenes. Underwood has already released the music video for Something In The Water, and it's likely one for Little Toy Guns will follow sometime in 2015.

Greatest Hits: Decade #1 hits stores Dec. 9.
