Annabeth Gish, who is starring on FX's Sons of Anarchy this season as Sherriff Althea Jarry, recently revealed that her and Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) will probably never be a "normal" couple.

Jarry has revealed herself to be a dirty cop after sleeping with Chibs. Gish admitted to Vulture recently that she plays the character as someone with an attraction to darkness.

"Early in the season, I lifted up my shirt and showed Chibs that I have a bullet wound. This is a cop and a woman whose own morality is confused," Gish said. "She likes the adrenaline of both the good side and the bad side. She's attracted to the dark side, but she's really trying to do the right thing, in the wrong way."

She admitted that Jarry truly does want to protect the citizens of Charming, despite her personal proclivities.

"The writing is already on the wall that Chibs and Jarry can't be a normal couple. Like he says, they can't go walking down Main Street," Gish continued. "It's that realization that they've dabbled in this netherworld of each other, but in order to maintain their own identities, they have to go back to their traditional roles."

It remains to be seen if Jarry will be one of the lucky ones who makes it out alive. Sons of Anarchy is notorious for killing off characters, no matter how important they are. It is possible that Jarry's corrupt behavior will catch up with her in some way. There is only one episode left until the epic series finale.
