A casting list came out with who producers on the next X-Men movie are looking at to take on some iconic roles for the film. But they left out one key character that is also expected to be a part of the movie. Does that mean they have already found someone to play her?

'X-Men: Apocalypse' Could Be Zeroing In On This Big Name Star To Play Their Villain

One of the biggest fan casting rumors early on with X-Men: Apocalypse was recent Oscar winner and upcoming Star Wars star Lupita Nyong'o playing a younger version of Storm. Halle Berry has played the character since the first X-Men movie.

While Nyong'o has jumped up on casting sheets since her award-winning performance in 12 Years a Slave last year, her biggest get was joining the new Star Wars movie. But with filming ended and no word yet if she is apart of the next one, or when it starts filming, the actress could be available to join the X-Men franchise when it starts filming early next year.

Could she already be talking about the role with Bryan Singer and the rest of the producers? Who knows, but Storm wasn't listed on the recent casting list, which only put names down for Jean Grey and Cyclops. Maybe Fox has already started on discussions with Nyong'o and they are working on bringing her in after Star Wars finishes up.

The actress is a definite up-and-comer and with her role in Star Wars, she is trying to find her legs within a big franchise. It also would allow for a more traditional Storm than Berry's and could make for an interesting origin story if they bring her into the movie.

X-Men: Apocalypse comes out on May 27, 2016.
