She's already defended her decision to take back Hank Baskett on her own, but now, Kendra Wilkinson and her husband are opening up in a joint interview for the first time-and are defending the decision to remain married despite Baskett cheating on his wife.

Kendra Wilkinson Admits Hank Baskett Is Putting In Effort To Fix Marriage

The two spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about their decision, and though both admit that full forgiveness will take time, they do believe this is the right decision for not only them, but their children, Hank IV, 4, and Alijah, 6 months.

In addition, though the details of what truly happened between Baskett and transsexual model Ava Sabrina London seem murky to her, Wilkinson maintains that he has proven he is worth fighting for and that he genuinely wants to still remain in his marriage.

Does Kendra Wilkinson Feel 'Trapped' In Her Marriage?

"All I can say is I believe Hank. I love Hank. And he's proven to me that he's worth forgiving and fighting for," she told the magazine. "He was at the wrong place at the wrong time, and unfortunate things took place. He's very gullible and naïve."

"It's going to take a lifetime to trust him again," she added.

Baskett also admitted that he has a lot of work to do in order to get his wife to fully forgive him and trust him again one day, and he is certainly not taking her decision to stay in their marriage for granted

"Our relationship is still day-to-day. I'm still working on regaining Kendra's trust," he said.

Reports first surfaced that Baskett had cheated on Wilkinson while she was eight months pregnant with their daughter this summer, and since then, the couple's drama has played out in the public eye on their reality show, Kendra on Top. The couple originally married in 2009.
