Esposito (Jon Huertas) may be given the opportunity to be a full blown Denzel Washington style action star in Monday night's episode of ABC's Castle.

'Castle' Christmas Episode Set To 'Change The Shape' Of Show Moving Forward?

The next episode of Castle is titled Kill Switch and features Esposito getting involved in a subway hostage situation. Stana Katic, who plays Beckett on the series, spoke about the episode and teased that Huertas might be embracing his inner action star.

"He's funny, too, because Jon does a Denzel imitation sometimes. Sometimes we'll be like, 'OK, do this take as Denzel,' and he'll throw in a little touch, and that's what that episode kind of reminded me of, a Denzel movie," Katic revealed to TVLine recently. "I don't know if he went 'full Denzel' in any point, but it was fun."

Katic said that she enjoyed filming this upcoming episode since it allows Huertas and costar Seamus Dever (who plays Ryan) a chance to shine.

"Well, I like the Espo one because I like the fact that one of my coworkers gets to shine like that, because those guys are super-talented, Jon and Seamus," Katic gushed. "All of the cast is incredible, but those guys, when they get a chance to kind of get down and dirty, they love it, and they're so creative."

Monday's episode will probably be more dramatic than what Castle fans have been used to, with the latest episode featuring Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett posing as newlyweds in an Old West saloon.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
