Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman on Orange Is the New Black, gave a few tips at the American Music Awards red carpet Sunday, lending her expertise to Giudice.

"Don't mess around too much," Schilling added. "She needs to watch herself."

Giudice is slated to serve 15 months in prison in Danbury, CT, at the actual prison Orange Is the New Black author Piper Kerman served. The Real Housewives of New Jersey was charged with fraud. The reality star begins serving on Jan. 5, 2015. Giudice's husband Joe Giudice will serve 41 months in prison after she is released for the same crimes.

Schilling's costar Laverne Cox, who plays Sophia Burset on the prison comedy-drama, also commented on Teresa's imprisonment earlier in the month, though she did not feel comfortable giving her advice.

"Well, I think the reality is that playing an inmate on television is very different than actually be incarcerated," Cox noted, via Us Weekly on Nov. 11. "I wish her the best and I know it can't be easy for her and her family."

Orange Is the New Black will begin streaming season 3 in mid-2015, with the first two seasons currently streaming in full on Netflix.
