The country star has openly admitted on a number of occasions that music is all he's ever wanted to be a part of, and even if he didn't have the success he has today, he'd still be "somewhere else" with his guitar.

"I'd be playing some club somewhere tonight," Urban told CMT on Monday.

Why His Wife 'Never' Tells Keith Urban What To Record

"I feel really fortunate that I had supportive parents, first and foremost," added the singer in discussing how he came into the industry. "I started playing when I was age six, and my mom and dad were incredibly supportive of me and drove me to talent quests that I was entering in when I was nine and ten and eleven."

Urban's parents continued to support him when he elected to leave school at the age of 15, determined to pursue a career in music. "I was very fortunate to have parents that really believed in what I was doing," he insisted.

That sense of paternal devotion was certainly passed down. Urban, now the father of two daughters with actress Nicole Kidman, often brings his family out on tour and makes sure to never stay away from them for too long.

In fact, Urban and Kidman were seen sharing a kiss in the rain at the premiere of the actress' new film Paddington on Sunday. According to the UK's Mirror, the pair locked lips under a pair of massive red umbrellas as they stood out on the red carpet together.

While Kidman's last few roles would be considered inappropriate for her young children, Paddington is one Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose might just get to see.
