Spain is moving on to the finals after beating Team Russia on Aug. 10 in the semifinals round 67-59.

Russia led the first quarter scoring 12 points and also the second quarter with 19 points. Not to be underestimated though, Spain saved their energy for the end and pushed harder in the third and fourth quarters, scoring respectively 26 and then 21.

Marc Gasol scored most of the pointers for Team Spain. He was placed in his first NBA All-Star team in 2012 and he plays on Team Spain along with his brother Pau, who was the top scorer at the 2004 and the 2008 Olympic Games.

Spain won in their quarterfinals against France 66-59 but in their first London game against Russia, which aired on Aug. 4, they lost 74-77. However, they redeemed themselves in Friday's rematch.

Spain already has two all-time Olympic medals for basketball and their win in the finals would add to the 111 Olympic medals that they have.  It is still unknown who Spain will compete against in the men's basketball finals. USA and Argentina will go against each other for a spot in the finals at 4 p.m. Eastern Time today.
