Portia de Rossi may not be the only actress in the family; her wife has just proved that she has what it takes to become a well renowned actress.

The most anticipated film Fifty Shades of Grey is scheduled to hit big screens nation wide on Feb. 13 and fans are going to be surprised when they learn that Dakota Johnson has been replaced- by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

It's just a joke, but DeGeneres did recently share a parody of the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer in which she replaces Johnson as the protagonist Anastasia Steele.

"Over the years, I've shown a lot of scenes from different movies that I've been cut out of," DeGeneres told her studio audience. "What happens is I get cast and show up and I work like a professional. I learn my lines and I really prepare the scenes, and for some stupid reason, the part gets cut-until now.

DeGeneres says that people believe Johnson is the lead actress in the film, but in fact she will actually be playing the lead role because 'no one knows their way around a whip more than me.'

In the video, which can be seen below, starts off much like the official trailer, however viewers soon learn that's it not.

It's no secret that DeGeneres and her wife may be somewhat of impractical jokesters and like to pull pranks every now and then, but viewers definitely weren't expecting this.

Fifty Shades of Grey is just a short three months away. It's set to hit big screens on Valentines Day 2014.
