Dakoata Bradley may only be a newcomer in the music industry, but the 21-year-old artist has some pretty big stars in his corner, including country legend Tim McGraw.

Tim McGraw Still Looks Like He's Losing Weight

Bradley's start in the industry began with McGraw. The young musician's first single, Somethin' Like Somethin', was originally designed for the Meanwhile Back At Mama's singer, who subsequently turned it down. He thought it was more suited to Bradley, and while Bradley had some reservations about doing it he soon came to realize McGraw had been right. "[It] came to life in the studio," noted Bradley during an interview with Taste of Country on Tuesday.

Not only did McGraw help launch Bradley's career, he's also gotten the opportunity to go out on tour with him.

"It's pretty mind-blowing that I get to work with Tim McGraw and tour with him and stuff," said Bradley. "I wasn't necessarily starstruck when I met him, but I was like, 'This guy has helped me shape my voice and my songwriting and my music.'"

McGraw hasn't just had a successful year as a mentor to rising stars. He also released his own album, Sundown Heaven Town, in September. The record has been doing well and has even earned a few award nominations for Meanwhile Back At Mama's, the duet McGraw sang with Faith Hill, his wife and fellow country singer.
