Thanksgiving is finally here, and after feasting on one of the year's largest meals, nothing seems more appropriate than not wanting to move from the couch-making the slew of Thanksgiving TV specials a perfect viewing option.

Whether trying to recoup from heavy meals and eating on your own, or looking for a great way to spend time with family and friends outside of eating and Black Friday shopping, here are some of the best TV specials to tune in to this Thanksgiving holiday.

Wednesday, Nov. 26:

SNL Thanksgiving, 9 p.m. on NBC: The holiday special from one of the longest-running comedy sketch shows will be a two-hour compilation of the best Thanksgiving themed sketches the show has done throughout the years.

When Turkeys Attack, 10 p.m. on Destination America: This is supposedly home video footage from real families terrorized by turkeys. It may not inspire much love for eating the big meal the next day.

Thursday, Nov. 27:

The 88th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, 9 a.m. on NBC: It's not Thanksgiving without the annual parade through the streets of Manhattan, featuring floats, balloons, musical performances and marching bands.

Thanksgiving with Friends marathon, starting at 10 a.m. on TBS: This marathon of every Thanksgiving episode of Friends ever is a classic way of celebrating the holiday-and remembering one of the most popular primetime comedy shows of all time ten years after it ended.

13th Annual National Dog Show, 12 p.m. on NBC: This fun pre-meal event features cute dogs-it's almost a no-brainer.

Football: all day, every channel: America's favorite sport will be on pretty much every channel that broadcasts the sport-the highly anticipated games include the Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles vs, Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers.

Friday, Nov. 28:

Pawn Stars Marathon, 8 a.m.-11 a.m., History Channel

Frosty The Snowman, 9 p.m., CBS: Get truly into the holiday spirit with one of the first Christmas specials to air and truly kick-off the season

Saturday, Nov. 29:

Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever, 8 p.m. on Lifetime: It'd be interesting to see a Christmas Special devoted to one of the arguably most popular Internet memes

Punkin Chunkin: Superchunk!, 8 p.m. on Discovery: How far can people catapult random stuff into a cornfield?

Sunday, Nov, 30:

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, 10 p.m. on ABC Family: Seriously, Christmas is around the corner. Get ready with this comedy classic.
