As fans anticipate the Christmas episode of The Fosters, one question that currently lingers is what's about to go down between Brandon and Callie.

Lena 'Must Face Her Bias' In 'The Fosters' Christmas Special

On Wednesday, TV Line posted some information on the holiday episode, which will pick up right after Brandon and Callie kiss. This will go into a flashback that reveals what took place between the first and second season and how they got to where they are, according to Maia Mitchell (Callie).

"Obviously, Callie and Brandon just kissed at this crazy rich-people party, so they have to figure out how to make amends and go forward from that," Mitchell said.

If the two are going to make amends, then this strikes up some curiosity if this means an official relationship will happen or not.

In a recent Hollywood Life video, Mitchell dished on other storylines that will take place in the Christmas episode, one of them revolving around Stef and Lena's other family members.

"Lena and Stef are kind of dealing with Stef's mother and her presence in their lives," the actress said. "Lena is also dealing with a biological brother that she's kind of lost contact with so the episode really is about the family really kind of going through, or dealing with facing the issues that they have with each other and really becoming stronger through it."

The Fosters Christmas special airs on Monday, December 8 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
