The 32-year-old, whose second pregnancy was announced in September, was there to launch a fundraiser to raise $16 million for a new children's hospice in the area.

"I greatly admire the dedication, generosity and achievements of the charity's supporters and volunteers, and look forward to seeing the progress of this campaign," said Middleton, who has been involved with the charity since 2012.

At four months pregnant, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a knee-length Katherine Hooker dress and black pumps. Her hair was also up in a loose ponytail and she sported simple jewelry as she spoke with supporters and mourning families at the event.

This is one of several appearances Middleton has made after taking some time away from the spotlight to be treated for morning sickness.

The royal household announced Middleton's due date in a statement, writing, "delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2015."

The announcement also gave an update on Middleton's severe morning sickness, which she suffered during her first pregnancy with Prince George as well.

"The Duchess of Cambridge continues to be affected by Hyperemisis Gravidarum, but her condition is steadily improving," it read.
