Blake Shelton Says He's 'Recording Something Special' This Week

"[We are] going to smoke a turkey and then going to do the old Trisha Yearwood recipe," Shelton told Extra on Tuesday. "Which is you turn the oven on to 500 degrees. Let it get to 500. The Neon Light singer revealed that he intended to spend his spare time hunting between meals, as is customary for him and his wife during this time of year.

"[I will be] deer hunting Thanksgiving morning, and I'll be eating Thanksgiving dinner at lunch," he noted. "And I'll be deer hunting again by Thanksgiving evening."

Both Shelton and Lambert are coming off a pretty busy tours. Each released a new album this year, with Lambert's Platinum out June 3 and Shelton's Bringing Back The Sunshine having hit stores on Sept. 30.

Shelton did tell fans this week that he was recording something new in the studio, though he has yet to reveal the big surprise just yet. If speculators are right and it is a holiday duet, it will likely debut over the next few weeks.
