Former MTV Reality Star Diem Brown Dies From Cancer At 32

The Real World: New Orleans star was reportedly partying with friends before his tragic death on Thanksgiving, which allegedly occurred after he choked on his own vomit.

Knight "was out partying Wednesday night with a bunch of people and ended up at a friend's house," TMZ reported on Wednesday. "We're told a friend found him dead Thursday morning. The friend said he had choked on his own vomit."

On The Real World, Knight and his costar, Jemmye Carroll, had an on-again, off-again relationship. During the show, they dated briefly, but ultimately split. However, when they appeared together on The Challenge a short while later, they appeared to be on the verge of a reconciliation.

At the time of Knight's death, he was dating someone else, but remained in close contact with his former love.

According to TMZ's report, several people who had been with Knight prior to his death claimed he had taken "some pills," but didn't specify what those pills were. "Friends tell us Ryan was upbeat Wednesday night," the site continued. "He was saying he was dating someone new who made him extremely happy."

That someone new was a woman named Makenzie, and shortly after Knight's death, she shared a message on Instagram. It read, "I love you Ryan Knight. I am heartbroken, confused, hurt and most of all mad. The pain I am feeling now will never go away. You mean more to me than you will ever know & I never thought that I would spend a day without you.

"Every second with you was full of love and laughter. You were the brightest light in every room," Makenzie continued. "You taught me not to care about what other people think and you made me understand that being myself was okay. Thank you for being inappropriate at the worst of times and making me laugh until I cried. Thank you for loving me unconditionally even though I snored and drooled on you in my sleep. You had the sweetest soul and I will never forget that. I always called you "my sweet angel" and now you truly are. Love you forever, MEK."

This is the second Real World death this month. On Nov. 14, Diem Brown, who also appeared on The Challenge, died of cancer at the age of 32. Knight was just 29.
