Thanksgiving is supposed to a day full of love, laughter, great food and fun but for Michael Brown's family, things were slightly different.

Since the grand jury made the decision to acquit police officer Darren Wilson for the killing of the 18-year-old unarmed black teen, Brown's family, the city of Ferguson and people all over the world are mourning his loss.

On Thursday, the advocacy group Ferguson Action took to Twitter to share a photo of the Brown family celebrating Thanksgiving and it was anything but normal.

While the photo captures an image of a delicious looking turkey and an array of dinner sides, the faces in the image don't appear to be happy.

The photo featured a somber looking Michael Brown Sr. along with other members of his family, gathered around the dinner table with an empty seat left open for the dead teen.

Brown was shot and killed in August of 2014 by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson which has caused a lot of violent protest in the suburban town.

Since his death and the superior court's decision not to indict officer Wilson, the city of Ferguson and other cities around the world have been participating in civil demonstrations to demand a change within the justice system.
