Corey Sligh, who has appeared on The Young and the Restless, was attacked on Thanksgiving while doing a good deed.

The 27-year-old model and his girlfriend were headed to a Rite Aid in West Hollywood to bring Thanksgiving meals to several people.

Sligh’s girlfriend, Alisa Berhorst, told CBS that two men were driving recklessly in the parking lot and doing donuts.

“The whole imagery of everything that happened last night is still very fresh and scary,” she said. “They almost hit people in the parking lot. They were hitting curbs, and Corey said, ‘Please slow down or we’re gonna call the cops, just go home.”

Instead of going home, the two men hit the actor with their car and then beat him up.

Although the two men fled the scene after the attack, cops were able to locate them with the help of a witness, who followed them and saw that they crashed their car close by.

Sligh suffered multiple injuries and underwent surgery for a broken arm at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The actor also shared a photo of himself in the hospital with the caption, “Hey kids, went to feed some people last night who don't have blessed thanksgivings and along the way got struck by a drunk driver! Have a surgery to go and another couple days in the hospital but should be fine soon! Thankful to still be on this great planet! Love y'all!”
