Some new details have been released on how Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are handling their reported split now that they've spent Thanksgiving together.

Nick Cannon Says He's 'Trying To Slow It Down'

On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the two spent the holiday together at Cannon's home in Los Angeles with their three-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. The site mentioned that their Thanksgiving was "calm and happy," according to sources. But it looks like Cannon spent the night by himself after their celebration was over when Carey and the kids took off for a hotel.

This may not be as sad as some may think though since sources apparently told the site that the couple had a toxic relationship while they were together, but they have become better friends now and are focusing on their kids.

It also appears that the twins may not be too affected by their parents' split because according to the site, the kids are already used to spending time with just either their mom or dad.

In an interview with In Touch, Cannon made it pretty clear that he and his ex-partner are doing what they can to get by.

"We talk and text every day," he said. "My children are my No. 1 priority. Everything I do is for them. I just want to be the best father I can possibly be."

Cannon also said that he was hoping to have a "wonderful holiday" with his family, and it looks like he received his wish.
