Not only is Sofia Vergara one of America's sweethearts, but it looks like she's also going to become a citizen, too. The Latina beauty recently revealed that she aced her U.S. citizenship test as she is currently working on becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States.

According to Us Weekly on Thursday, Vergara made the revelation during her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

She said, "They make you jump through hoops because they have to make sure that you deserve to be part of the country. The most interesting thing for me was, they give you like a hundred questions that you have to learn, and then they give you a quiz, like a test. I got all questions perfect. Yes, all of them.. I got all the questions."

Vergara, who moved to Miami, Fla. when she first came to the United States nearly 20 years ago, added that she's excited to become a citizen.

She explained, "You swear that you're going to fight for the United States... I'm ready! They make you do the swear of the thing... it was easy because the swearing of the thing, you don't have to memorize or anything. You just repeat! I did it really fast so he didn't know if I was doing it right."

Just last month, Vergara revealed the inspiration behind her character Gloria on the hit ABC show, Modern Family.

According to the Latin Times back in November, Vergara said that Gloria Delgado is based on her aunt, Gloria Vergara.

She said, "To me, the production team asked me several names, especially one that was no already registered in any other show. I just hinted at the name 'Gloria Delgado' and they liked it."

She added, "When you do certain roles, you regularly draw inspiration from other people. In this case, I did so with my aunt - though she is not as tawdry, not as scandalous as how I embody her on the series.
