Elizabeth McGovern, who plays Cora on Downton Abbey, revealed if there will ever be an episode where her character will take on the actress's vocal abilities.

McGovern is in the folk band Sadie and the Hotheads, which might give fans some insight if Cora will ever sing on the series. In an interview with Hartford Courant posted on Thursday, the actress didn't seem to have much hope that this will happen.

"As far as Lady Cora singing, she is far too self-effacing to sing and I wouldn't expect that to happen," she said.

McGovern was then asked if she can give any hints on what's about to happen in the British series now that it's been picked up for a sixth season.

"Nope," she replied. "But I can tell you the show is at its best. It's back to being the tapestry of the older characters audiences have gotten to know. The ones already established with the intrigue and the mashing in between."

The actress also mentioned if she has any similarities or differences from Lady Cora.

"I am somewhere in the middle," she said. "I am not someone who likes to get dressed in the morning and pretty much put on whatever is reachable. There is no wild side to me. I am a pretty steady, rigid sort of person."

Downton Abbey Season 5 will air in the United States on Sunday, January 4 at 9 p.m. ET on PBS.
