With Oscar Isaac moving on from one mega-franchise (Star Wars) to another one (X-Men), the actor is looking to become one of the biggest names in Hollywood with some of his next performances. Now the actor has sat down and talked about how he will take on an iconic superhero villain.

Ryan Reynolds Is Officially Playing This Anti-Hero, But Will He Show Up In 'X-Men: Apocalypse?'

In an interview with IGN on Thursday, Isaac talked about what Apocalypse, who he will be playing in the next X-Men movie, looked like in the comics and how he will appear in the movie to show off his hulking frame.

"In the early conversations we talked a lot about that [Apocalypse's distinct point of view and agenda]. Of course, you read the comic book, and [Apocalypse is] not so shaded with gray -- except his face. [Laughs] That's the only thing gray about him," he said.

What Crazy Reason Does Evan Peters Give For Bagging The Quicksilver Role in 'X-Men?'

"Just as Bryan [Singer]'s done with the other films, I think he seeks to find something a little more interesting than the archetypal aspects of the characters, which work really well in print, but for a film I think you want to see a bit more of the -- for lack of a better word -- humanity in [Apocalypse]; because ultimately this is a story about humans."

He also talked about the possible return of Archangel, last played by Ben Foster in X-Men: The Last Stand, and whether he would be interested in seeing this storyline again with Foster playing the role.

"He's a great actor. I don't really know how they're going to put all that together or exactly what characters, or how that's going to work. But I know Angel and Archangel in particular were some of my favorite characters in that storyline," Isaac said.

"That was such a cool and dark storyline. I think that would be a cool thing to see on film."

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.
