Holiday shoppers who missed out on some of the outrageous discounts during several store's Cyber Monday events last week can still score steep discounts on the hottest gifts for their friends and family with several sales in effect for Green Monday.

The day, which was the third biggest online shopping day of the 2013 holiday season, is a newer entry into the official coined shopping days, but retailers aren't letting it's relative obscurity stop them from offering some great deals for the shoppers who want to give great gifts without paying premium prices.

Four of the top retailers offering Green Monday specific deals and discounts are none other than Macy's, Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy, all of whom have huge sales going on to usher in those last-minute online holiday shoppers.

Macy's:

Their friends and family deal is ending by the end of the day, but those who plan to shop can take an Extra 25 percent off their order and receive free shipping with a $50 purchase by using promo code FRIEND. In addition, there are sales of an extra 10 percent off on furniture, mattresses, area rugs, electrics and electronics.

Target:

The discount retail chain is offering an additional 40 percent off some of the hottest toys of the season, including Zoomer Puppy, FurReal Friends Get Up and GoGo my Walking Pup Pet, and the Black and Decker Mega Tool Set.

Wal-Mart:

The biggest discount retail chain is also offering up to 40 percent off of some of the hottest toys of the season, including Disney Frozen Snow Glow Elsa, Nerf N-Strike Elite Thino-Fire Blaster, FurReal Friends Get Up and GoGo My Walking Pup Pet, and Lego Sets.

Best Buy:

The electronics giant is actually having a 2-day sale for Green Monday, with up to 25 percent off hundreds of items, including laptops, Digital SLR camera bundles, TVs, Smart watches, computer accessories and appliances.
