Keith Urban was honored at the CMT Artist Of The Year ceremony on Tuesday and according to the country singer this kind of success and recognition is something he never takes for granted.

For Urban touring is often a family affair, with wife and actress Nicole Kidman going out on the road with him and their two young daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

Kidman was in attendance with her husband at the CMT ceremony, where Urban thanked his wife for always being there. "I'm so glad you're here tonight," he said during his speech onstage. "It all makes sense because you're in the world, baby."

The Somewhere In My Car singer also received two Grammy Award nods last week, nominated under Best Country Solo Performance for Cop Car and Best Country Group Performance for Raise 'Em Up

"It's an extraordinary gift," noted Urban to My Country Nation. "I've been playing for a long time, but the fact that I got lucky enough to be able to do it in this life seems to keep coming on every year now."

Urban and Kidman continue to live in Nashville with their daughters.
