Nick Cannon has given more details on his split with pop star Mariah Carey and how it's going to affect the holiday season.

Nick Cannon Admits That He & Mariah Carey Still Keep In Touch

On Monday, the America's Got Talent host made an appearance on Good Morning America to promote his Christmas book Roc and Roe's 12 Days of Christmas based on his two kids. When the split with his wife was brought up, Cannon revealed what the main thing is that they're focusing on during the holidays.

"Always focus on family," the host said, posted on E! News. "We'll forever be family. At the same time, we're there for our children, making them the No. 1 priority and understanding they're loved and can have an amazing holiday."

In an interview with In Touch, Cannon had mentioned what his three-year-old twins would like to have on Christmas Day.

"My son loves games, like Angry Birds, but I'm trying to keep their eyes on the educational stuff," he said, posted on Daily Mail. "And honestly, my daughter likes sparkly things."

Cannon also revealed that he and Carey do still keep in touch and are doing the best they can to make sure that they're there for their kids.

"We talk and text every day," he said. "My children are my No. 1 priority. Everything I do is for them. I just want to be the best father I can possibly be."

Cannon also mentioned that they might spend their Christmas "somewhere cold and snowy."
