Carrie Underwood Shares Strange Fear About Being Pregnant

In honor of the release, the country star sat down with NBC's The Today Show to discuss fame, pregnancy, and putting together a greatest hits album (featured below).

"I'm the worst at relishing the moments as they happen," admitted the 31-year-old Something In The Water singer. "And so many of us don't really take the time to stop and look around and enjoy things… so putting this all together [for the new album] has been really good for me."

Carrie Underwood Imagines What Her Son Will Be Like

In addition to being a therapeutic process, Underwood admitted that it's been interesting to go back and look at her career in this way. "It's so fun to listen to how things have changed over the years," she noted.

This month not only marks the release of her latest record, it will also be her last holiday season before becoming a mom. In September the star announced that she and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, will be expecting their first child together this spring.

"My husband comes up with many names," laughed the singer, noting that her husband had come up with the name "Fly Fisher" as a joke.

"It's hard," she continued earnestly, "Labeling your child for the rest of his life."

Underwood insisted that she and her husband have created a shortlist of names, but will likely wait to "meet" their son before deciding on one.

Greatest Hits: Decade #1 was released on Dec. 9.
