The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Cynthia Bailey and NeNe Leakes have spoken out after getting into a spat on the show over their ended friendship.

Cynthia Bailey shed light on the background of the situation. She wrote in her Bravo blog that the two ladies decided to go their separate ways but remain cordial after they got into a screaming match during the show's reunion special.

But Bailey quickly lost hope in being able to stay friendly with Leakes as she continued to drag her name through the mud in several interviews.

"I felt that too many boundaries had been crossed and chose to no longer accept friendships plagued with violations and disrespect. The space apart was a much needed break, and I prayed that time truly would heal all old wounds.

"That optimism was short lived when my friend (who 'loved me like a sister') felt the need to attempt to publicly disgrace me and imply that I no longer needed to be a part of the show! Now that's some real sisterly love, right? That one singular moment showed me in HD that NeNe didn't know the meaning of a real friendship, and yes, the thirst really was real."

But Leakes had a different take on the account of what ended their friendship. She said that Bailey was "willing to turn on you for so called opportunities or the almighty dollar with no explanation!"

She went on to say that Bailey also points her as the bad guy when she is actually the culprit in the ordeal.
