The gloves will indeed come off today as the lawyers for reality starlet Kim Kardashian and basketball star Kris Humphries are ready to face off against one another in the court room on Wednesday, according to TMZ

Although the Brooklyn Nets player had previously agreed to a prenup in which he would collect a zero sum of money, he is currently refusing to compromise on their 72-day marriage.

What complicates the situation further is that Humphries has not even seemed to have prepped for the trial itself; despite his persistency to take down his high profile ex-wifey.

It was previously alleged that the Humphries' team would call into question the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reality television series. However, it is still very blurry as to what his end goal would be, due to the fact that he has already reportedly pocketed a sum of cash in the thousands off of the E! show.

Clearly not in dire financial straits, the power forward has even recently inked a 2-year, $24 million dollar deal to don the Nets new Brooklyn uniform.

The judge in the celebrity case appears to possess a sense of urgency, as sources from the online gossip site state that he will not prolong it any further than it has to be. If Humphries does not want to walk away with just a divorce, the judge will almost definitely put the case up for a trial.

On Dec. 1, 2011 Kim Kardashian had filed for divorce from Humphries 72 days after tying the knot. In response to her decision, he then filed an annulment on the grounds of fraud or a decree of legal separation.

Kardashian is currently dating rap artist Kanye West.
