It looks like Keith Urban's latest getaway might have just been an excuse to avoid his mother-in-law.

Keith Urban's Solo Vacation

Over the weekend the Somewhere In My Car singer was seen relaxing in the Hawaiian sun while his wife and actress Nicole Kidman attended the Paddington film premiere in Australia. Kidman has relished every spare opportunity to visit her mother and sister in Australia since her father, Dr. Antony Kidman, died suddenly in September. Nonetheless, Urban might not share his wife's sentiments.

Last week both Celebrity Fix and the Daily Mail reported that Nicole wants her mother, Janelle, to move into her family's Nashville home.

According to both reports, Urban is allegedly concerned about how his mother-in-law's presence will change the dynamic of his family, especially since and he and Nicole rarely get time alone as it is with their busy careers and two young children.

Recently Nicole signed on to shoot the film Strangerland in Australia, which will give her more time to spend with her mother.

"We've gone through a really tough time this year as a family," declared the actress to The Guardian on Saturday. "It's so nice to be able to take care of each other."

Nicole has spoken frequently during the last few months about wanting more children, but if she's fighting with her husband about family now, they may not be looking to expand their family just yet.

For now Urban and Kidman continue to live in Nashville with their daughters, six-year-old Sunday Rose and three-year-old Faith Margaret.
