It’s almost that time of year again when people head to bars while dressed as Santa Claus and elves. But, in New York City many establishments have refused to participate in the annual SantaCon on Saturday.

“SantaCon has respect and compassion for the hard-working municipal organizations of NYC, as well as for the important civil rights demonstrations currently shaping our city’s future,” the organization wrote on its website. “Thus, we are changing the format of this year’s SantaCon.”

The organization also asked participators to be on their best behavior this year in order to make sure that the charitable event isn’t cancelled next year. It also created the hashtag #dontscroogesantacon to also get the message across.

Here are the New York locations allowing those in festive outfits to enter starting at 10 a.m. (via Gothamist).
