Lisa Vidal, who plays Kara, the close friend and co-worker of main character Mary Jane Paul (portrayed by Gabrielle Union), spoke with Studio Q last month and said, "I'm like finally! It's gonna air, the second season.

"It's gonna be really good. Of course Gabrielle is amazing. Our cast is amazing. The storyline is amazing. There's a lot of good juicy stuff again. It's really all that great stuff that women can identify with, that all women go through."

She also opened up about working with Union and said they have lots of funny moments behind the scenes while filming for the hit drama series. She credits their chemistry and being able to "understand" the roles they play as the reason for "having a great time" on the set.

While fans saw Mary Jane struggle with finding the right man on the first season, Vidal played coy on whether she will have a love interest of her own in the new episodes. It will be interesting to see if her romantic life gets a storyline of its own considering Kara was going through a divorce previously.

"You'll have to watch," she said.

As for Mary Jane's love life, BET has released a teaser that features her and ex-boyfriend David having an intense argument. It looks like he makes an epic return even though his new girlfriend was pregnant in the first season finale.

Being Mary Jane returns to BET on Feb. 3 at 10/9c.
