The actor appeared on The Talk with his fellow Blue Bloods cast members Dec. 12, and when show co-host Julie Chen turned the conversation to personal talk amongst the cast members, it was revealed that Wahlberg spends a lot of time on the phone-something he then assured he only did because he was a newlywed.

"Donnie Wahlberg, everyone is pointing at Donnie," Chen said after co-stars including Tom Selleck all pointed their fingers at him.

"I'm a newlywed, I have an excuse!" Wahlberg said. "It's only with my wife, and my kids!"

The couple has truly allowed themselves to embrace newlywed life since marrying in August, and have often either spent time together at public events or shared snapshots from their home life on social media, showing that despite their fame, they're also just like other newlywed couples.

They even shared a new photo together Dec. 14 where they posed and showed themselves getting into the holiday spirit.

With a beautifully lit Christmas tree in the background, the couple smiled for the camera and held mugs of hot chocolate with whipped cream. A makeup-free McCarthy's mug was labeled "Hers" while Wahlberg's read "His".

The couple previously revealed that they often spend nights in together sipping hot chocolate. Back in October, while speaking with People Now to promote his "Say Hello with Keurig 2.0" contest, Wahlberg admitted the couple was genuinely homebodies, despite their outgoing personalities.

"She cooks breakfast...this weekend she cooked me breakfast in bed and I'll do different things for her," he said at the time. "But every night when we finish doing our thing, literally we go turn on the Keurig, we make hot chocolate, and we sit down and have hot chocolate together, it's great."

"I think we're both kind of out there. We seem like extroverts, we say what's on our mind, but we're real homebodies," he continued. "We like to be home all the time, like I said we have hot chocolate every night. We're not really party people, we like to take it slow, and if we had our way we'd probably just lay in bed all day watching like...Naked and Afraid."
