Diaz got to show her boisterous and loud side in the film, and all the youngsters in the orphanage scenes seemed to get a kick out of it too.

When Meyers referred to Miss Hannigan as a dream role, Diaz quickly agreed.

"It is a meaty part especially because you get to yell at kids, which is really fun," Diaz said with a laugh. "The first time, I just let it rip. It's so much fun to see their faces. But then afterwards I do tell them I'm acting. That's not really how I am. It's actually funny because I totally ruined it for myself."

Diaz said being nice between shots and then going back to yelling at the kids really gave it a stange balance.

"We were shooting outside. We were playing mid to beginning of fall. Actually it was mid-December, 30 degrees outside. But after they'd call 'cut', the girls would stand there shivering."

Cameron said she'd run to get them coats and mufflers for their hands.

"They'd look at me like, 'What's wrong with you?' And then when I'd go to yell at them again, they'd just look at me and laugh. They were like, 'We don't buy it'. I gave them the reverse Hannigan," the actress said.

Diaz said kids on set or not, she still has a foul mouth. She said that shooting a film is an adult situations and if you don't like how adults talk, don't be in adult situation.

Diaz shared that she had a running gag regarding her use of swear words with her young co-star, Quvenzhane Wallis, 11, who plays the lovable orphan.

"Quvenzhane did this thing (saying) 'You owe me $10!' I said, 'No, you owe me $10 if you don't swear.'"

The actress joked that kids "just want to rake up the cash."
