After months of fans wondering if Zoe would be pregnant by her love interest Wade, the season premiere of CW's Hart of Dixie has answered that question big time.

Rachel Bilson Spotted For First Time Since Giving Birth

Viewers who tuned in Monday night saw that Zoe (Rachel Bilson) finally got Wade (Wilson Bethel) to break down and sleep with her. While they might have disappointed that Wade still refused to show his love for Zoe, she soon found out that she was pregnant by him.

The show's executive producer Leila Gerstein spoke with TVLine and revealed whether Bilson's real-life pregnancy had anything to do with Zoe getting pregnant by her on-again-off-again boyfriend.

'Hart Of Dixie' Creator Talks Future For Zoe & Wade 'He Definitely Has His Guard Up'

"Rachel being pregnant and the decision to write her pregnancy in definitely became the creative choice that fueled what her and Wade's relationship was. If that character got pregnant, that's it. That's going to be the most important thing that's ever going to happen to her, and her and Wade."

Given that this season is much shorter than previous ones, Gerstein added that they had to drop the bomb quickly rather than building it up and having fans wait to find out if Bilson's pregnancy would mean a baby for Zoe.

"There's not going to be time for that, 'Will they or won't they?' They're going to have to figure it out really fast, because someone else is going to be dependent on them."

She added that both Wade and Zoe will be forced to mature considering they are going to parents soon.

"You have to cut through the bulls---. You have to grow up. Because from the moment you find out, you have, what, seven-and-a-half months to figure out how to be a grown up and take care of someone else?"

See how it all plays out when Hart of Dixie airs Mondays at 8/7c on CW.
