The last remaining member of Team Blake Shelton, Boyd managed to defeat Team Adam Levine's Chris Jamison, Damien, and Matt McAndrew in the final round of competition.

For his final judged performances, Boyd honored his country roots with a rendition of Alabama's In Pictures, a duet of Randy Houser's Boots On with Shelton, and the premiere of his original single, My Baby's Got A Smile On Her Face.

Team Adam's Matt McAndrew came in second, Jamison took third, and Damien landed in fourth after being rescued by the Wildcard vote.

Going purely by which performers sold more singles on iTunes, Matt McAndrew could have easily taken the gold. With five songs in the iTunes Top 10, McAndrew and Jamison (four songs) easily outstripped Boyd's three. When it came to voting, however, Boyd was the clear favorite.
