Heartthrob Jamie Dornan is starring in the new film Fifty Shades of Grey, and the actor recently admitted to doing some interesting research for the part of Christian Grey.

While Dornan may be one great piece of eye candy to many, he definitely had to do his research to prepare for his new film.

Before taking on the role as billionaire Christian Grey, Dornan had to visit a sex dungeon in order to live up to the role displayed in E L James's erotic novel.

Dornan graced the cover of Elle UK's February issue, and in the magazine he opens up about his time at the sex dungeon.

According to Elle UK, the actors said, "I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did...whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives."

Despite the fact that this sounds like an awkward situation, Dornan admits that while there was plenty of kink, there was also a lot of laughter.

"I was like: 'Come on guys I know I'm not paying for this but I am expecting a show.' It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards... I had a long shower before touching either of them."

It's a good thing Dornan got some lessons on being Fifty Shades of Sexy, because his fans definitely have high expectations and they are expecting to see some of his skills when the new film hits the big screens next year.

Fifty Shades of Grey opens in theaters on Valentine's Day 2015.
