She came back to Salem to win back the man she never stopped loving, but Serena (Melissa Archer) will be in for a major shock when she learns that he wasn't simply pining away for her on Days of Our Lives.

Eric Faces A Ghost From His Past

Knowing the attraction is still there between him and his former love, Eric (Greg Vaughan) will decide to confess to her that his time away from being a priest has not been completely celibate-and he had been romantically involved and truly in love with someone else for some time.

Eric will finally tell Serena the whole story about his life since he left her to join the church. Not only will he talk about Kristen's (Eileen Davidson) raping him, but he will also open up about how Nicole (Arianne Zucker) covered up the evidence that proved his innocence so the two could remain together. He will also share how he and Nicole had slept together and were planning to elope and marry before he learned what she had done.

Melanie Confronts Nicole About Her Relationship With Daniel

The news may stun Serena, who believed Eric hadn't loved another after her, and could force her to turn up her competitive side a bit more since Nicole could still be potential competition in the future. And when the two women realize they could both be competition for Eric's affections, it could turn them into enemies.

Meanwhile, Nicole will encounter Marlena (Deidre Hall) once again, and will receive some stern advice from her one-time future mother-in-law. Though she may not be actively trying to reunite with Eric and has been noticing her rekindled attraction to Daniel (Shawn Christian), hearing from Marlena and seeing Eric with Serena could make her set her sights back on her former fiancé.
