The Duggar family of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting is standing strong despite the growing petition to get them kicked off the air.

Family patriarch Jim Bob Duggar spoke out recently about the change.org petition, which has amassed over 180,000 signatures.

"They won't succeed," he said at the Booster Banquet at Hannibal-LaGrange University. "Our show is the number one show on TLC. We love everybody. It's a small group creating this fuss. All it has done is give us more exposure. We've gained 50,000 Facebook fans last week. God is expanding our borders through the national media."

The petition was formed after the very religious Duggars posted a message on Facebook asking married couples to posted photos of themselves kissing each other. When a same-sex couple posted a photo, it was banned from the page.

"End LGBTQ fear mongering by the Duggars," the petition reads. "The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people. You need to take a stand on the side of justice and cancel their show."

Jim Bob said that he and his family "love everybody" but added that they "don't always agree with them."

The Duggar family's show has aired on TLC for nine seasons now, starting in 2008 and concluding its most recent season in November. It has produced 226 episodes in total. The family was previously filmed for 14 Children and Pregnant Again in 2004 and 16 Kids and Moving In in 2006. The show was originally titled 17 Kids and Counting in 2008, changed to 18 Kids and Counting in 2009 and settled on 19 Kids and Counting.
