As the fifth season of Ink Master just finished, fans are probably wondering if more tattoo artist competitions will be returning to Spike TV.

Ty'Eesha Reels Says Who She Wanted To Win 'Ink Master'

As it turns out, the series has been renewed for a sixth season. According to Broadcasting Cable on Tuesday, the reality series will return sometime in summer 2015. There are supposed to be 13 episodes that will begin production early next year, according to network officials.

Jason Clay Dunn became the winner of the competition for the fifth series. In an interview with International Business Times, he dished on the surprise twist when contestants had to work on a style that was assigned by their rivals. He gave his competitors Jason Siuda and Cleen Rock One the color realism style because he thought that would be a big challenge for them.

Joshua Hibbard Dishes On The Stress Of 'Ink Master'

"I think there [are] only a handful of artists out there that can really, truly capture color realism," Dunn said. "And neither of them are that. And in that regard I stand out alone on my own anyway. If you have two guys going at it with color realism they're probably going to end up doing something similar in choice or whatever. Then mine's going to stand out that much more."

When Dunn had to do new school style, this didn't bother him that much despite what others may have expected.

"They think that I don't have the skills to do [new school] well," he said. "It worked to my advantage. I do, it's just that I don't like to do it. I flipped the script on them, and pushed them."
