Carrie Underwood's Something In The Water was a huge hit when it was released earlier this fall, but the country star's popular single was omitted from one major list this month.

Carrie Underwood Dazzles At American Country Countdown Awards

On Wednesday Rolling Stone compiled a list of the 25 Best Country Songs of the Year. With big names like Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, and Miranda Lambert topping the list, it's a surprise that Underwood's single didn't make the cut.

In fact, Underwood was completely shut out. The singer only had two songs this year, Something In The Water and the duet Somethin' Bad off Lambert's Platinum album, but both singles were met with great success. Lambert's Somethin' Bad even went platinum.

Pregnancy Cravings Take Carrie Underwood Back To College

Released on Sept. 29, Something In The Water broke multiple records for Underwood. According to her official site, it was the best-selling first-week single of the performer's career, with over 240,000 sold in just the first week. She also had the best opening week sales for any female country artist in 2014.

With a new album on the way in 2015, perhaps the singer will manage to make the list next year. If not, there is still plenty to look forward to.

In September Underwood and husband Mike Fisher, who plays in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, announced that they are expecting their first child together. The singer is expected to give birth to their baby boy this spring.

Underwood's latest album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, was released on Dec. 9.
