Since Mahone's split from Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello last month, the singer has shared a series of mysterious tweets. In his latest message to fans, Mahone spoke of his expectations of those around him.

"Don't expect anything from anyone, so you won't be disappointed," he wrote on Wednesday.

The following day, Mahone appeared to be in a better mood, tweeting of new music and inviting a fan named Briana to be the main girl in the upcoming music video for his new single, Waiting For This Love.

"U wanna be the main girl?" he asked.

Earlier this week, Mahone revealed he was bored with his weekend, and hinted he was feeling a bit sad. "Olive Garden was the only thing that put a smile on my face today.." he told fans.

Meanwhile, Cabello recently spoke out, explaining how touring with her former boyfriend, Mahone, differed from her time touring with Demi Lovato.

"For me, with Demi, it was a different experience, because for me personally, I idolized her growing up, so it was like a dream come true kind of thing," Cabello told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday. "With Austin, it was just getting to know him and the people on his team and the Vamps and everybody there. I mean, we just made some good memories and friends that are going to last forever."
