Even though Rayna and Teddy ended their marriage a long time ago on Nashville, it looks like the mayor might be back as the family man again.

Chatter On The 'Nashville' Christmas Episode As Things Get Awkward For Rayna & Deacon

On Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter posted the information from Eric Close (Teddy) during his appearance at the New York premiere of Clint Eastwood's new movie American Sniper. The actor revealed that things are changing for his character, which might bring his ex-wife and two daughters back in his life much more.

"There's much more involvement because some things start to happen with Teddy and some of the choices he's making that draw Rayna and the girls back in," Close said. "It always seems to happen that their lives are so intertwined."

'Nashville' Actor Says He Likes 'Messing Up The Story A Little Bit'

The site gave a theory that Teddy might sign Maddie with Jedd Fordham's label since Close said that he'll be part of the show's music side.

"It's an interesting character because since Teddy doesn't sing and he's in the political world being the mayor of Nashville, he's not as involved with the music side of it," the actor said. "But I think there are some things happening with the character that will start pulling him more into that world of music, so it'll be very interesting."

It was mentioned that Teddy will be making more appearances on the series in the second half of the season that will continue this February on ABC.
