After lots of drama surrounding The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Phaedra Parks and her estranged husband Apollo Nida became the center of headlines due to his legal issues, Parks has confirmed she hopes to visit him for Christmas while he serves his fraud sentence in prison.

TMZ caught up with the southern belle and reality star Thursday.

She said, "You know what I would love to. I would love to. I sent him a Christmas card and everything. I speak to him all the time."

"I don't think there's a worst Christmas gift. All gifts are great right? They came from the heart."

Interestingly enough, she was still sporting her diamond on her ring finger.

It looks like Nida's recent comments that his and Parks' marriage is far from over were pretty valid. In his first interview since checking into prison, Nida told In Touch Weekly that he is optimistic about their marriage.

"Yes, we've had problems - especially over the last year- but we've gotten on terms now where I can call her and it's cordial. I'm hopeful we can stick things out."

He also said there was a "plan" in place for Parks to come visit and even bring along their two sons four-year-old Ayden and Dylan, 1.

He added that he acknowledges he "let a lot of people down" and is ready for his release so he can "pick up the pieces" and make things right.

Parks rep commented and said she still plans to split from Nida.

He is currently serving an eight-year sentence after pleading guilty to a major fraud scam earlier this month.
