Now that Rebekah is trapped in a witch's body on The CW's The Originals, baby Hope will be spending more time in New Orleans with her mom and dad.

Meet The New Rebekah On 'The Originals' This Season

Fans who wondered what was to become of Hope at the end of the midseason finale need look no further. On Wednesday TVLine confirmed that the little hybrid will be hanging around in New Orleans, and that's not all.

Though still just a baby, Hope will soon begin to show some interesting abilities reflective of her breeding, with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) being a hybrid and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) being a werewolf when she was born. This is no ordinary little kid, and showrunners are fully aware of that in moving forward.

'The Originals' Star Reveals Whether He'd Prefer To Be A Vampire Or A Werewolf

"We want to explore what makes the child of Klaus, a hybrid, and Hayley, a werewolf, completely different from any other child on this planet," explained executive producer Michael Narducci.

"You'll begin to see certain signs," he added, "subtle at first, then maybe not-so-subtle in terns of how this baby is something completely unique."

Between Hope's return, Mikael's (Sebastian Roche) vengeance, Rebekah's absence, and Klaus and Hayley's desire to protect their daughter, the second half of the season is in for some major drama.

The Originals returns on The CW to continue with its second season Monday, Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
