Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have only been dating for the past seven months, but it appears as though the couple is ready to take the next step; marriage.

Did Cameron Diaz Introduce Benji Madden To Her Family?

On Friday, Us Weekly reported that the couple is definitely engaged since multiple sources confirmed it. Back in October engagement rumors spread since Diaz stepped out at a Hollywood Costume Luncheon where she was spotted wearing a ring on the finger that's typically designated for an engagement ring and wedding band as reported by Hollywood Life.

The 42-year-old actress and her 35-year-old boyfriend first got together in May of this year.

One source told Us Weekly, "Everyone thinks it's wild, but are so happy for them. Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that."

Back in September a friend of the Good Charlotte rocker told the magazine Madden is "more traditional" than Diaz.

The friend added, "She really doesn't care about getting married but wants babies. He wants to get engaged and married first."

Diaz's mom, Billie, is reportedly "gushing" over her daughter's relationship.

Another source revealed to Us Weekly, "She absolutely loves Benji and she hopes this is the man her daughter will finally settle down with."

Diaz and Madden have Madden's sister-in-law, Nicole Richie, to thank for their thriving romance. She was asked about the romance when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live in July.

"I approve of anything that's going to make Benji happy," she said. "I am a devoted sister-in-law and I am happy for anyone who is happy."

Plus, she claimed she set the pair up.

"I'm going to take responsibility for everything," she revealed to Andy Cohen.
