It looks like former Dancing With the Stars pro Kym Johnson is interested in coming back again, but could she return as early as this spring?

Johnson retweeted a message from ABC7 reporter George Pennacchio from the Dancing With the Stars Live! Tour that indicated her potential interest in returning to the show.

"I sure miss @kym_johnson at #DWTS. She's back for the tour & told me she's open to dancing on the show again!" Pennacchio's message said.

Alfonso Ribeiro Talks If 'Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' Will Go Down

Johnson was one of the show's longest running dancers, first appearing in season 3 and competing in every season through season 16. She won two Mirrorball Trophies, one with entertainer Donny Osmond in season 9 and the other with football player Hines Ward in season 12.

She also made the finals two other times. She came in second place with singer Joey Fatone in season 4 in addition to coming in second with football player Warren Sapp in season 7.

So Johnson clearly has a proven record of success when it comes to competing on Dancing With the Stars. Her level of success might be comparable to Cheryl Burke, who quit the show at the end of this fall and won't be returning for season 20. Could Johnson take her spot or will a rising dancer get her chance to shine?

Witney Carson proved this fall that even newer pros can take home the Mirrorball. Carson won season 19 with actor Alfonso Ribeiro, beating out fierce competition.

Dancing With the Stars returns for its 20th season in March on ABC, though the network has not yet scheduled a specific premiere date.
