Survivor host Jeff Probst is very excited about the upcoming 30th season of the CBS reality series, revealing the process for how the show came to the conclusion to do white collar vs. blue collar vs. no collar.

Survivor 30 is officially titled Survivor: Worlds Apart and features three tribes separated by socioeconomic class. The white collar tribe comprises of those who "make the rules" in life, the blue collar tribe is those who "follow the rules" and just try to get by day to day while the no collar tribe are uninhibited people who "break the rules."

Probst spoke with Xfinity about the new theme and admitted that he didn't want to just have it be white collar vs. blue collar.

"That's very basic," he said, of just white collar vs. blue collar. "That's what Survivor is, we do it every season. But over here I had these cards that we couldn't figure out what to do with and I said, 'We've got these gypsies and beach people,' and then it just hit me. These are the No Collars, which wasn't a term that I'd heard before but made sense to me."

As for how he presented it, he admitted that there was a growing idea to do a "big, blowout season" for season 30. However, it was Survivor producer Mark Burnett who basically gave them permission to not necessarily do an all-star season.

Either way, Probst is very happy with the upcoming cast.

"I'll tell you this; not doing all-stars was the best decision because it would have deprived us of 18 of the most interesting people we've had on the show in a long time," he revealed.

Survivor: Worlds Apart is slated to premiere Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
